Takedown and Removal Requests

Last updated October 10, 2026

Privacy comes first in this community. If something on Your Open Season should not be here, tell us and we will deal with it. You do not need a lawyer, an account or proof of who you are to ask. This page explains how it works in plain language; it is not legal advice.

Non-consensual intimate images: top priority

If you believe an intimate image or video of you, or of someone you act for, appears anywhere on our site or in our emails without consent, email yos.bookings@proton.me with the subject line NCII and the page link. These reports go to the front of the queue. We hide the content first and review second, and we do not ask you to send us the image. Our policy is to carry no explicit images at all, so anything like this is removed.

Anything involving a minor is removed immediately and reported to the authorities.

How to ask for a removal

  1. For an event listing: open the event page and use the "Claim, correct or remove this listing" link, then choose "Remove it". A removal request normally hides the listing straight away while a person reviews it.
  2. For anything else (a guide, an email, an image, your name, or if the link does not work): email yos.bookings@proton.me with the page link and a short note on what should come down and why.
  3. Add an email address if you want to hear back. It is used only for your request.

What happens next

  • 48-hour review target. We aim to review every takedown request within 48 hours, and sooner for safety, consent and NCII reports. This is a target, not a guarantee.
  • If the content breaks our Acceptable Use Policy, Community Standards or Listing and Content Policy, it stays down.
  • If a host asks for their own listing to be removed, we remove it. If someone else asks and we decide the listing is fine, we may restore it and will tell you if you gave us an email.
  • Some event details may still appear on the original host or source site. We can only remove what is on Your Open Season, but we will tell you where we found it.

Hosts

Hosts can also claim and correct listings instead of removing them. See YOS for Hosts.
